RYA Pre-Entry AssementYou must complete this pre-entry assessment before you are able to achieve your RYA Dinghy Instructor Qualification.
Candidates should be able to complete tasks, sailing at all times with an awareness of the 'five essentials', and confirming they can sail in a controlled and confident manner, showing consideration for preparation, communication, approach and execution, at all times. |
RYA Dinghy Instructor CourseA 5 day course training in teaching techniques afloat and ashore.Candidates will be required to demonstrate competence in course preparation, delivery and management, as well as customer liaison. The course is run by an RYA Trainer and moderated on the final day by another RYA Trainer who has not been involved in the candidate's training.

RYA Safe & FunAn online course aimed at Dinghy and Windsurfing Instructors and Seniors, and anyone else involved in working with children and/or vulnerable adults at an RYA club or training centre. Newly qualfiying Dinghy/Windsurfing Instructors and Senior Instructors are required to complete this course prior to their instructor course.
