Wembley Juniors train, practice & race together. The group sail regularly with sessions guided by other members, RYA Race Coaches & UKLA coaches.

TOPPER TRAVELLER - Sunday 16th November 2025
Last Sunday 16th November, Wembley SC hosted the final Topper Traveller event of the 2025 L&SE season. There was a nice turnout with 20 sailors and a good mix of 4.2 and 5.3 sailors.
As the finale of the ITCA L&SE Topper Autumn and Yearly series, the stakes were high with a great atmosphere.
The forecast promised a good North Easterly and it provided brilliant racing conditions throughout the day.
During breakfast, several strategies were put in place to navigate the unusual numbered buoy system, and after a clear explanation from the race team, everyone was good with the course, although a few may have opted for the well-known “follow the leader” instead ! 🙂
The first two races confirmed the great conditions and delivered tight racing, whilst the bitter November cold started to make its presence felt. Warm lunch delivered to kids and visitors was much welcome and fueled the competitors for the afternoon.
Intensity picked up for Race 3 and 4 as some sailors were neck to neck, and our Race Officer, eager to prolong the excitement, added a third lap to the final race, ensuring that the suspense lasted right until the very end.
Bravo to all the competitors, sailing conditions were pretty cold and tough, as you’d expect mid november, and everyone performed admirably.
Another huge thanks to all the helpers, from the parking warden avoiding chaos on the street, on the water officers and safeties, on shore helpers and of course a superb team in the galley !!

WHSA YOUTH REGATTA - Sunday 7th September 2025
Congratulations to all the 80 sailors who participated to the WHSA Youth Regatta on 7th Sep.
Turnout was really good with two fleets composed of Lasers, Quests, Fevas and Fusions on the blue fleet, and then Toppers, Picos, Zests, Teras and Cadets on the green fleet. Click through for more details and pictures
