Children's courses run at the same time as adult courses, allowing parents to learn to sail in the adult course while their child sail in the junior course. It is anticipated that each child will reach Level 1 and possibly Level 2 at the end of each course. Courses will run over two consecutive Sundays as per the schedule below.

Each course can take up to 6 children, aged between 8 and 13 (we will accept children who are nearly 8),
however, each course will require a minimum of two children to be viable. The boats used for the courses will be the Laser Pico and Optimist dinghies. The ratio of children to RYA instructors is 3:1. Children aged 14 and above, can take the adult RYA Level 1 course in the clubs RS Visions (depending upon the size of the child).

The cost per child is £87.50 for the two day course. You can pay using our Google Checkout page. A RYA certificate is included in the course fee.

By taking the course your child will then be well equipped to join in the Harp Young Sailors that meet every other Sunday afternoon from April to October.
